Moments of the Decade

Let celebrate some of the good shit to come out of the last ten years.

I've had a premium membership for the best part if a year and while I've managed to catch up on a lot of the obvious stuff I'd love to hear about what GB moments stuck with you that might be talked about a bit less.

Everything from whole Quick Looks and Premium series that had you laughing to small wholesome crap. LET HEAR IT.

I have to say, since I watched it everytime I think of Ben playing Sekiro with 'Kids Pop' playing I've wound up with a smile on my face. Mostly because I just remember Jeff asking "how many of these kids do you think are still alive".

Alex Navarro playing Freebird at the end of his drumming extravaganza was amazing. Same with #teambrad.

Ryan slowly falls in love with the game and it’s magic.

The moment in Project BEAST where they first successfully matched orbits with a stranded craft and transferred the Kerbel made my jaw drop because they had started off understanding so little that I didn't think they'd ever pull anything off like that. It also gave me a greater appreciation for how hard space travel is.

Phantasmagoria RPCG Endurance Run

Was the first live stream I ever got to watch actually live after subbing to the site. Got off early from work and grabbed some fast food and put on the stream. Little did I know Vinny and Dave would give us a top 3 site feature that still enraptures me to this day.

Moment of the decade is probably Ryan's passing. I think about that wonderful man daily and his impact on my life. It's not a happy moment, but I like to remember all the laughs, moments and conversations he gave us in his short time with us.

Love Ryan Davis.

Breath of the Wild QL. Dan's enthusiasm is infectious. It's pretty rare that I see that level of pure unfettered joy.

There's an old Starcraft II Wings of Liberty video of Brad getting his copy and running around the office that puts a grin on my face too. Also, I think it was for a Kickstarter video or something, but Ryan lighting a big pile of fake money on fire while laughing and smoking a cigar was pretty goddamn classic.

All these years later, that clip is still so perfect.

The “Fireboylt” sequence from the Shenmue Endurance Run is one of my all-time favorites. It is a real descent into madness as Dan and Alex can’t figure out if Vinny is fucking with them or not.

I wouldn't say that these are necessarily lesser known ones, but they are still some of my very favorite ones.

Vinny's FMV Snow Day from last year has remained as something I regularly come back to and I was very bummed when there was no super blizzard this year to give Vinny an excuse to do another stream. I hope next year will give us part 2, because the first one's a blast from start to finish.

Load Our Last Save episodes of Psi-ops and Ninja Gaiden are also golden, with the former getting some extra points because it evokes some fuzzy memories within me.

It's not really a funny moment, necessarily, but I always enjoy rewatching Dave and Ryan play Elder Scrolls games all night right before the Skyrim marathon.

I also never tire of watching Brad and Jeff play Quake 1 and 3 on the old TNT's.

There's probably more. I don't watch much video content on this site these days but I used to spend hours watching stuff here.

The Red Riot Unbreakable scene from BnHA

Since everyone's posting goofy stuff I'll go a different route.

Without getting into specifics for spoiler reasons (I'll have a spoiler block for that though this is more for the show than game itself. I won't spoil the game), I think the GBeast Life Is Strange play through is up there as some of the best stuff they did. It was so good that people kept voting for them to play the game more for multiple weeks (back when there was that Choose Our Own Adventure show where folks voted on what the east coast people would play) before they finally moved it over to premium.
