Aykroyd Wants Ghostbusters Game To Lead Into Third Movie
Everytime I hear people talk about it, I get pumped. Everytime I see footage, I die a little inside.
Would be great to be able to get an NES to USB connector and control the Statue of Liberty with an Advantage for part of the game.
I used to want to cut the cable of mine so I could plug it into things and control them.
EDIT: STOP CALLING IT NEXT-GEN ALREADY!!! PS3 and 360 are CURRENT GEN CONSOLES!!! It's 2009!
I never thought that this would make my top anticipated games for '09.........but im pretty jazzed about it, and its looking damn good. (fingers crossed)
I don't think Aykroyd would have as difficult a time selling the studios on a 3rd Ghostbusters film as he would on Bill Murray. Murray said repeatedly that he wasn't interested in the project, but the success of this game might prove to him and the nay-sayers in La La Land, that the public still has interest in the franchise. And why not wonder about that, after all, the first movie came out when I was still in Jr. High! There were some 3rd party reports that he was on board but he has a history of being elusive on the topic, so it'd take him speaking the words "I'm in." for me to believe it.
Have you seen the lead actors lately? I don't konw if they can pull another ghostbusters movie. Not that they need to be in great shape for it, but most of them are pretty different that they were in the 80'. That is why a video game works so well, we can hear them, and they look more like we remembered them.
The only way a movie could be made is like a remake (looks at Karate Kid), or a movie where some of them are mentors of new, younger characters (looks at Indiana Jones), and I don't want any of those...
