The lead character of the manga and anime Ranma 1/2, which spawned several video games. He suffers from a curse that turns him into a girl when splashed with cold water.
Ranma's rival in Ranma 1/2. He is a person with no sense of direction who is constantly lost, has a ridiculously heavy umbrella, and transforms into a small black pig named P-chan when struck with cold water.

Originally Shampoo came from China to kill Ranma, but when Ranma turned out to be a man in Japan, she decided on making him her husband. Shampoo is a beautiful ditz who transforms into a cat when struck with cold water.
Ranma's father. Genma is constantly encouraging Ranma and Akane to get along, and fights Ranma often either as training or stress relief, and Ranma usually knocks him into a lake where he transforms into a panda that can only communicate with wooden signs.

Hailing from China, Mousse is a master of hidden weapons yet has terrible eye-sight forcing him to wear coke-bottle glasses. He has been madly in love with Shampoo since childhood.
A poetic, wealthy Furinkan high school student, and master of kendo. He is Ranma's rival, and is forever seeking the hand of Akane and the mysterious pigtailed girl.
