Overview
Krusty's Fun House, known in the SNES, Genesis, and NA DOS versions as Krusty's Super Fun House and in some Japanese versions as Krusty World, is a comedic puzzle-platformer developed by Audiogenic and published by Acclaim (with their Flying Edge brand for the Sega platform releases and co-published by Virgin for their EU computer releases) for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Sega Genesis, Nintendo Entertainment System, Sega Master System, Game Boy, Game Gear, Amiga, and DOS PCs in 1992-1994.
One of several Acclaim titles based on the animated sitcom The Simpsons, Krusty's Fun House builds on games like Lemmings, where players must guide autonomous creatures to the goal (which, in this game, are guiding cartoon rats to comical extermination machines). To do this, players must maneuver each room in a platformer fashion as the titular in-universe kid's show host Krusty the Clown, who can pick up and drop various objects to guide each rat's path while throwing pies at various enemies trying to injure him).
The game is a licensed revision of a prototype 1991 Amiga game known as Rat Trap.
