    An enemy in the Super Mario Galaxy series.

    Sort of a cross between a Goomba and an Octorok from the Zelda series (hence the name), Octoombas are among the first enemies Mario will encounter in the Galaxy series. Most will simply attempt to run into Mario upon spotting him, but some can fire rocks out of their mouths.
     
    Like most enemies in the Mario Galaxy series, Octombas can be dispatched either by jumping on them or hitting them with a spin to knock them over and then kicking them. Jumping on them will leave a coin behind, while kicking them yields a few Star Bits.
