Sam Lake (Sami Järvi) and Petri Alanko, the composer/sound designer of Remedy, presented this interesting, strange, slightly awkward and undeniably erotic "slow jam" at the Slush startup festival in Helsinki a couple of weeks ago.

Well now there's a a video of the whole presentation, which goes through the history of Remedy's games and the music used in them. The thing is definitely worth a watch for any fan of Remedy's games. I'll just let the music and Sami speak for themselves.

Sam Lake is a cool dude.

I really wanted to like Quantom Break but it just lacked the style of Max Payne and Alan Wake. Which is arguably Remedy's saving grace.

I want Sam Lake and Lorne Lanning to be in the same segment on a GB E3 show.

I want to reincarnate as Sam Lake. Not many people out there can not only look just as noir-chic as his characters, but can also borrow liberally from David Lynch while understanding what makes Lynch's stuff work instead of simply aping it, and do all that with a kickass Finnish accent.

For real though, watching Sam dance to Death Rally's music is my new favorite thing. "Cars and machine guns. Oh yeah."

The guy is unique.

I truly got into the music themes when they got to Max Payne. Memories.

I dunno if the world could handle that.
